Posting of Degrees

Degree posting occurs after final grades and graduation requirements are verified. This process typically takes a few weeks but may take longer in some cases. When a degree is awarded, it is recorded permanently on the student’s academic record.

Posthumous Degrees

The University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point may honor a student who passes away close to completing their program by awarding a posthumous degree. This recognition reflects the student’s academic progress and the support of their program faculty.

A posthumous degree may be recommended by the college dean, in consultation with the faculty of the student’s major, and is awarded at the discretion of the university. Eligible degrees may include associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or professional doctoral degrees.
