Human Resources is responsible for:
- Recruit and hire faculty, staff, and students across all campuses and properties.
- Oversee performance management and human resource policies, ensuring employee relations comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Ensure employment practices comply with federal and state anti-discrimination laws and support a professional, respectful workplace environment.
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding, position changes, and departmental restructures.
- Assist with benefits and compensation processes in coordination with UW System Shared Services.
- Promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with occupational, biological, and chemical safety standards in partnership with UWSP Risk Management.
