Human Resources is responsible for:

  • Recruit and hire faculty, staff, and students across all campuses and properties.
  • Oversee performance management and human resource policies, ensuring employee relations comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure employment practices comply with federal and state anti-discrimination laws and support a professional, respectful workplace environment.
  • Support employee onboarding, offboarding, position changes, and departmental restructures.
  • Assist with benefits and compensation processes in coordination with UW System Shared Services.
  • Promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with occupational, biological, and chemical safety standards in partnership with UWSP Risk Management.
