Visitor Center Meeting Room

The Schmeeckle Reserve Visitor Center meeting room is a popular meeting space for classes, community and government groups, and private events. Its convenient centralized location in the state and natural surroundings make it an ideal venue for gatherings of all types.


Rental Information

The meeting room can be reserved up to 6 months in advance of an event. It can hold up to 40 people with just chairs, and 30 people with chairs and tables. The room features free parking, movable tables and chairs, a desktop computer, ceiling-mounted projector, large screen, speakers, free Wi-Fi, a white board, and organic, fair-trade coffee. A Logitech MeetUp meeting room webcam is available at no extra charge to connect with participants online for hybrid meetings. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase in the gift shop. Large windows showcase views of woodlands and a shaded outdoor deck is just around the corner for breaks or small group sessions.

Rental costs

The meeting room can be rented year-round for a single daily fee during regular visitor center open hours:

  • Monday-Friday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The meeting room may be available for renting at hours outside of these times (including setup and and take-down times); an additional $50 fee will be charged for each hour that falls outside the normal hours.

*Note that the doors of the visitor center will open and close at the times listed above. If a group needs to access the room earlier for setup or later for cleanup, you will need to request times outside of the regular hours for an extra fee.

See the calendar above for availability. Reservation requests may be made a maximum of 6 months in advance of the event.

Requests are reviewed by Schmeeckle staff and may be either approved or denied. No payment is required until a request has been approved. Once a reservation request is approved, the renter will have 14 days to pay the full cost of the reservation. Reservations are not confirmed until payment is received. Cancellations will be reimbursed at 50% of the payment if made more than one month in advance of the event.
