JOIN THE WINNING TEAM

Kicking off fall 2026, UW-Stevens Point will be offering the Midwest’s only sport business major from an AACSB-accredited business school at a public university. As a sport business student, you’ll learn how to provide marketing, analytics, event-promotion and merchandising support to athletes and teams, driving attendance and support and providing the data teams and programs rely on for success.

Why study Sport Business at UW-Stevens Point?

The Sentry School’s sport business major is a 78-credit program with a full 57 credit hours of sport-related classes including  sports marketing, sports finance, data analytics for sports, event promotion, sports sponsorships and more. You’ll be prepped for leadership in a $600 billion industry with more than 100,000 estimated job openings. 

In addition to extracurricular activities through Pro Events and the Anderson Center you’ll have the chance to intern with a regional or national sports team, program, facility or business affiliate, learning the ropes and building on what you learn in class.

Anderson Classroom to Career Center

The Keith and Tammy Anderson Classroom to Career (C2C) Center provides a single location for UW-Stevens Point School of Business and Economics students to learn about majors, receive career and financial support, and discover internship and professional development opportunities. The Anderson C2C Center also serves as a hub for business outreach and event planning.

The MBA program at UW-Stevens Point now offers an applied management certificate where you will learn to apply the tools of lean and Six Sigma, methods of large-scale project management, and techniques for operating and controlling organizational budget. Additionally, you can harness your skills in effective leadership in both individualized and team-based approaches of assessment and development. Credit Analysis

ANALYZE AND EVALUATE CREDIT RISK FOR ORGANIZATIONS

The credit analysis certificate provided by the Sentry School of Business and Economics will engage students in a multidisciplinary approach to understanding the processes involved in analyzing corporate credit risk. Statewide job growth in accounting is projected to increase by 11.5% between 2014 and 2024. Learn to produce and communicate financial business results to achieve optimal financial performance.
