Kicking off fall 2026, UW-Stevens Point will be offering the Midwest’s only sport business major from an AACSB-accredited business school at a public university. As a sport business student, you’ll learn how to provide marketing, analytics, event-promotion and merchandising support to athletes and teams, driving attendance and support and providing the data teams and programs rely on for success.

Is the Sentry School of Business and Economics accredited?
Yes. The Sentry School is accredited by AACSB (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), first earning accreditation in 2017 and reaccreditation in 2022. Fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide hold AACSB accreditation.
What majors does the Sentry School offer?
Our majors include accounting, business administration, business economics, data analytics, finance, management, marketing and sport business. The school also offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and numerous certificate programs and minors.
Do I have to complete an internship to graduate?
Yes. Every Sentry School student is required to complete an internship before graduation, giving every graduate documented, real-world work experience.
Where is the Sentry School located?
Our main office and faculty offices are in Delzell Hall (910 Fremont St., Stevens Point, WI 54481).
The Anderson Classroom to Career Center is located in 128 College of Professional Studies Building (1901 Fourth Ave., Stevens Point, WI 54481).
Our classes are held in multiple buildings on campus until Sentry Hall opens in 2028-29 school year.

How is the Sentry School different from other business schools?
The Sentry School’s curriculum is built around applied learning: What students learn in class they apply in real organizations through required internships, Pro Events and partnerships with regional businesses. This hands-on philosophy is backed by the same AACSB accreditation held by many larger, costlier programs.
Does UW-Stevens Point offer a sport business degree?
Yes, starting fall 2026 we offer sport business as a major, minor or certificate. It’s the Midwest’s only sport business major offered by an AACSB-accredited business school at a public university.
