Admissions Requirements
Admission to UW-Stevens Point MBA in Applied Leadership and Decision-Making is open to those who have completed an undergraduate program at an accredited U.S. college or its equivalent in another country. 120 total credit degrees preferred, however, reduced credit bachelor’s degrees from accredited institutions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The Admissions Committee bases its decision on:
- GPA: 3.0 or higher
- Transcripts: Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions
- Letter of Intent: A professional letter that includes your educational background, your careers and personal career goals.
- Professional Resume: An up-to-date professional resume
- Professional Reference: 3 references from a current or past employer, professor, coach or professional colleague.
- Business Literacy: A demonstrated understanding of business principles through professional experience or academic coursework. Applicants without an undergraduate degree in business may be required to complete foundational course work in accounting and economics, in addition to the required 36 MBA credit hours for the MBA program.

- Select Major: Applied Leadership and Decision-Making
- Pay the $56 non-refundable application fee
- Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions
Step 2: Complete UWSP MBA Program Application Sentry School of Business and Economics MBA Application
Gather all required materials before beginning the application

- Professional Letter of Intent, it shall include the following:
- Your educational background (address any factors that led to a GPA that fell below 3.0)
- Your career, educational and personal goals
- Your professional experience, any volunteerism, extracurriculars involvement and any additional experiences that have helped prepare you for the MBA program
- How the MBA supports your professional career and plans for your future
- Updated professional resume
- Contact information for 3 professional references (e.g. supervisors, managers, coaches, professors)
- Full name and email
- Organization and title
- Your relationship with them
