Arborists are experts at assessing, caring for, and removing trees, shrubs, and other plants in urban forests. They are best known for their ability to remove trees with the use of directional felling and/or cables, so they don’t damage property. Arborists provide quotes to customers, apply pesticides, test soil, and plant trees among other things.

Work Environment

Arborists spend much of their day outside, often up on lifts and cranes to properly remove trees. They work in all types of weather and tend to be busiest during the spring and summer months.
