Transfer & Reentry Students

Thank you for your interest in the Professional Education Program at UW-Stevens Point. Our staff in the School of Education Advising, Recruitment & Retention Office are happy to assist any student interested in transferring to UWSP to join our Professional Education Program. We consider potential School of Education transfer students to be one of our own - a UWSP student (who happened to start at a different campus). In fact, we encourage all students planning to transfer to UWSP's Professional Education Program to contact a School of Education undergraduate adviser every semester prior to transferring.

Wisconsin Teacher Licensure is complicated. Students interested in transferring to UWSP for the Professional Education Program should begin planning early to ensure a timely graduation. In order for us to best serve you, please review the materials on this site carefully. Once you have received a credit evaluation, which is described in the "Preparing to Transfer" section of this webpage, we encourage you to make an appointment, phone or in person, with an adviser in the School of Education. Please call our Advising, Recruitment and Retention Office, 715-346-2040, Monday-Friday 7:45-11:30 a.m. or 12:30-4:30 p.m. Advisers are available twelve months a year.

Job Placement

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point graduates in the School of Education typically have some of the highest job placement rates in full-time teaching jobs within their first year after graduation in the UW-System.
