The forest industry is vital to the welfare of Wisconsin and that the development of employees is vital to the industry.
According to the Wisconsin DNR: “The forest products industry in Wisconsin employed more than 56,000 individuals and paid $4.5 billion in labor income. In 2023, the industry’s total value of production was $27.0 billion, with a value-added of $8.3 billion. The industry represented 2.0% of the state’s gross domestic product.”
This page is under active development through a collaboration between LEAF and the Wisconsin Forestry Center (WFC). It is dedicated to highlighting and outlining the many and varied careers of the forest industry.
