Pre-service Educator Training

Building the knowledge and skills of future energy education leaders
Our Energy Education for Pre-Service Teachers training introduces future educators to creative energy education concepts. Pre-service teachers learn hands-on energy activities that can be adapted to many grade levels and subject areas. They gain experience with energy in their daily lives, worldwide energy resources, and future energy issues.

Results

In 2024, KEEP trained more than 500 educators at 15 higher educational institutions in the state. We work with college students as they prepare for work in classrooms and natural resources roles, giving them a jump-start on meaningful strategies and activities to engage others in environmental education.
