Meet Don and Judi Olson, the alum couple who stepped forward to dedicate their philanthropy to a growing museum space in 2024. Now named for them, the Olson Museum of Natural History welcomes groups to explore the museum’s teaching and research collections.
Their generosity will help fund the renovation work for the Museum to take a major step forward.
Building a Home for Natural History
Graduates of UW-Stevens Point, Don and Judi Olson, will have a lasting legacy gift in their name on the UWSP campus. Their $450,000 gift was announced in February 2024.
“The museum is a valuable community asset and learning tool for children of all ages. With displays and exhibits focused on the natural history of Wisconsin and beyond, hands-on activities, and special programs, it brings education, entertainment and smiles to all who visit. Importantly, the museum serves as a unique way to introduce and welcome UWSP to potential future Pointers and their families.”
