ABOUT NTSC

THE NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENT CENTER

The Non-Traditional Student Center (NTSC) aims to support students whose college journeys may differ from the traditional path – such as adult learners, student parents, veterans, and those balancing other responsibilities. Through connections to campus and community resources, a community space to connect with each other, and guidance in navigating the college environment, NTSC works to provide each student with services to help them achieve success at UWSP. NTSS also promote a sense of belonging and community on campus through a variety of events that are open to all students and their families, including kids! NTSC wants all students to feel welcome and utilize our space whenever they need!

You belong here!

A safe space to be authentically you

The Non-traditional Student Center is a great space to hangout before, between, or after classes! Students are able to find a space here to build community, study, access resources, and visit with NTSC professional staff.

NTSC offers a TV and “living room” space, student computer workstations and printing, small-group meeting table with direct access to the large John Jury lounge, and refrigerator and microwave for student use.

EVENTS IN THE NTSC

NTSC hosts events through the year including Hyer Hall Cookouts, destress events for midterms and finals, and a variety of other opportunities to connect students to each other and important resources to support their success. Be sure to follow us on Instagram to stay up to date on what events are coming up!

There are also almost 200 student organizations available that focus on interests, activities, or academic areas. Check out SPIN for their events as well.

Alliance Of Non-Traditional Students

ANTS as a student organization serves as a vehicle for the social and intellectual interests of non-traditional students and as an advocate for their needs in the University community. The group also works to utilize the experience of its members to improve the University experience for all students and staff members.
