OUR MISSION

The Office for Culture and Student Development (OCSD), a unit of the Office of the Dean of Students, promotes student success by cultivating inclusive, welcoming, and academically integrated experiences. Through our four resource centers and related programming, OCSD supports students’ transition to University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, fosters a sense of belonging, and promotes student persistence. By honoring everyone’s identities, fostering connections, and empowering personal and academic growth, we provide affirming support for all UWSP students.

OUR VALUES

You Belong Here

UW-Stevens Point works to create spaces where all students can find community, support, and affirmation. To support this goal, each of our centers provides programming, educational opportunities, and resources that help students feel seen, valued, and connected on campus. We also invite the broader campus community to learn, engage, and build understanding.

Multicultural Resource Center

The MRC educates and provide supportive services in which all students can develop a better understanding and appreciation for the multiculturalism in our community and beyond.

Native American Center

The NAC supports and develops cultural programs for all students on campus while building community for our Native students. Staff connect students to resources and encourages personal and professional development while fostering appreciation for Indigenous identity and culture.

Non-traditional Student Center

The NTSC offers support for non-traditional aged students and students with dependents as they start and navigate their academic journey as an adult learner at UW-Stevens Point.

Queer Resource Center

The QRC strives for the comprehensive support, education, and empowerment of LGBTQ+ identifying students, staff, and faculty at UWSP. All students are welcome to take advantage of the center’s programs, events, and community.

Scholarships and Grants

Let us help you fund your education through scholarships and grants! Coordinated by Student Experience and Transformation as well as Financial Aid and Veteran Services, UW-Stevens Point makes every effort to provide students with the financial assistance to attend college. Examples include the Lawton grant for undergraduate studens and graduate students should review the Advanced Opportunity Program to further fund their education.

All the events

OCSD and its individual centers offer programs that invite all students to connect, foster meaningful dialogue, learn, and create a shared sense of belonging. Through workshops, educational cultural events, leadership opportunities, and community partnerships, these programs create welcoming spaces where every student can learn, connect, and grow across perspectives and experiences.
