Native American Center

ABOUT THE NAC

THE NATIVE AMERICAN CENTER

The Native American Center (NAC) supports and develops cultural programs on campus while building community. These initiatives encourage the revitalization of Indigenous cultures and languages while providing a tether to Indigenous students who are away from their home and families. The NAC connects indigenous students to resources and encourages personal and professional development while fostering appreciation for their Indigenous identity and culture. The NAC works to increase positive and accurate representations of indigenous people in both modern and historical contexts. The NAC also facilitates relationships between the indigenous communities of Wisconsin and the university that benefits the recruitment and retention student.
