The Wisconsin Forestry Careers Coalition (WFCC) works to increase the public’s awareness of the forest industry and forestry careers. The forest industry sometimes suffers from an outdated image, with public awareness lacking in regards to technological advancements in the field and the emphasis of STEM fields in forestry education. WFCC forestry educational equipment including portable sawmills, portable kilns, and Ponsse North America timber harvester simulators are available to provide hands-on exploration and skill development at public events, teachers’ conferences, and school forests.
