Department of Computing and New Media Technologies

TRAINING TODAY’S TECHNOLOGY PROFESSIONALS

The Computing and New Media Technologies (CNMT) department empowers students to succeed in an ever-evolving tech landscape. Small classes with highly qualified faculty gives our students an edge. Their learning takes place in state-of-the-art classrooms and labs.

But what sets us apart is the engagement between students and faculty. We go beyond the coursework. CNMT majors get hands-on in design and solutions. They collaborate and innovate on a range of topics from game design to information security.

PUTTING SKILLS INTO PRACTICE

The difference is doing. Our courses and applied learning experiences shape students into analytical thinkers, ready to solve problems and lead.

Center for Cybersecurity Studies and Advanced Research

We take innovation seriously. Our new nationally-certified Cybersecurity Studies Center provides a dynamic learning lab where students can work on meaningful, next-gen projects and build out their personal portfolio. Help shape the future of cybersecurity and digital forensics.

Internships

The department collaborates with local industries to place our students into well-paid internships and jobs. Regional partners include the Sentry IT co-op, Skyward Scholars, Wildcard Corp., and more! Qualified students can build practical work skills and real-world experience before graduation. Thrive in a team environment working in exciting fields and putting your course knowledge to work!

Undergraduate Research

Students are encouraged to participate in dynamic faculty research projects. Have a concept you want to apply and present on? Consider independent or faculty-mentored computing research in our annual Undergraduate Research Symposium!
