Students who utilize TLC resources have a higher average GPA than those who do not and students who regularly attend SI sessions receive higher course grades and stay in college and graduate in higher numbers than nonparticipants.
If sessions have less than 3 students per session for 3 weeks in a row, the session is canceled. Make the best use of this fantastic resource by coming early and often!
FACULTY: INTERESTED IN HAVING A GROUP TUTOR?
The TLC hires and trains group tutors for STEM courses based on recommendations and interest from faculty.
The TLC pays group tutors one hour to prepare for each weekly session and one hour to facilitate each weekly session.
Group tutors must regularly attend TLC training and keep accurate records of sessions.
The TLC hires group tutors one semester in advance
Faculty with group tutors must promote the service within their classes to ensure participation
