Segregated Fees

Segregated Fees are assessed to all students for service, programs and facilities that support the mission of the UWSP.  The fees are billed based on the number of credits taken, regardless of the modality of the course. Exceptions may apply for recipients of WI GI Bill, Study Abroad students, and those in certain per credit 100% online degree programs.

Graduate Branch Campus students are not charged the Text Rental Fee.

Segregated Fees are divided into allocable and non-allocable. Students have the primary responsibility for the formulation of allocable segregated fee budgets, in consultation with the chancellor and subject to final confirmation by the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents. Final recommendations on non-allocable budgets rest with campus administration, although students have the opportunity to participate in the review process.

Allocable

            Organized Activities – Supports student programming, student organizations and student government.

Non-Allocable

                Athletics – Funds the operations of club sports on campus.

Fitness Center – Helps support the operations of the fitness center.
