The CIDA-accredited program prepares students for entry-level interior design practice, for advanced study, and to apply for membership in professional interior design organizations. The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture granted by The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point meets the educational requirement for eligibility to sit for the National Council for Interior Design Qualification Examination (NCIDQ Exam). Interior Architecture Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (BFA)
Program Completion
It typically takes a full-time student taking approximately 15 credits per semester four years to complete the undergraduate degree program with a minimum of 120 University credits. The Interior Architecture BFA degree requires 78 credits including design-related or qualified electives. For transfer students, the typical graduation time is 7 semesters or 3.5 years.
The following data was collected using institutional records and an alumni survey that was administered in the Spring of each academic year.

Average Graduation Rate from 2023-2021 = 75%
- Of the students retained from the fall of 2019, (20/32), 16 (80% graduated in 4 years) by May of 2023
- Of the students retained from the fall of 2018, (12/17), 7 (58% graduated in 4 years) by May of 2022
- Of the students retained from the fall of 2017, (28/32), 19 (67% graduated in 4 years) by May of 2021

Average Job Placement Rate from 2019-2021 = 61% (of those who responded to the survey)
- In 2020- 2021, 16/27 Responded with a 100% employment rate for those 16.
- In 2019- 2020, 6/25 Responded with a 50% employment rate for those 6.
- In 2018- 2019, 12/20 Responded with a 33% employment rate for those 12.

These include dance, music, and theater performances, master classes, guest artists, gallery exhibitions, SPTV broadcasts, WWSP radio programs, media and video productions among many other student-created pieces.
