Youth Protection and Compliance

Hosting youth on campus provides an excellent opportunity to present the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point to the broader community, particularly to prospective students. It is important to recognize, however, that our young visitors, whether 7 or 17 years of age, are minors.

Accordingly, we share a collective responsibility to implement appropriate measures that ensure their safety, while also safeguarding UW–Stevens Point employees and the institution.

Youth Protection and Compliance staff develop resources and tools to assist Employees and Student understand University’s procedures, protocols, and best practices in support of compliance with Youth Protection Policies.

It is our goal as an institution to have the proper protections to provide a safe environment for minors that participate in pre-college and youth programs on our campus, as well, providing training so that all UW System employees understand how to report an incident during your camp or clinic you are hosting.
