Start Here. Go further outdoors.
Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) offers outdoor skills workshops for women in Wisconsin and across North America. Designed for beginners and those looking to improve their skills, these programs provide hands-on instruction in fishing, hunting, shooting sports, archery, camping, paddling, outdoor cooking, navigation, photography, survival skills and many other topics. No experience is required, making BOW a welcoming starting point for anyone interested in learning how to enjoy the outdoors with confidence.
BOW workshops are typically three-day weekend experiences where participants choose from a variety of classes and learn from experienced instructors in a supportive environment. Beyond BOW programs offer additional opportunities to build skills through one-day classes, advanced workshops, and experiences such as guided hunts, canoe trips, and campouts. Open to adults 18 and older, these programs bring together women of all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you want to try outdoor activities for the first time or refine your abilities, BOW helps you develop practical skills and lasting confidence in the outdoors.
