2024 CNR Seminar Series

Landmark Environmental Policies: History, Impacts, and the Future

There was a time in the United States history when air, soil, and water pollution became increasingly problematic: rivers caught fire, and wildlife species disappeared. Legislators stepped up to pass landmark policies that allowed the protection and preservation of our important natural resources. These policies, including the Endangered Species Act, the Pittman-Robertson Act, the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act, profoundly impacted the environment, wildlife, and people who depend on them. These policies have changed throughout the years, and they continue to change, sometimes for the better, sometimes not.
This series features six speakers from different backgrounds who will share their knowledge of the history and impacts of landmark environmental policies and will discuss what the future may hold for those policies. This series also features seminars focusing on the real-world impact of these policies and practices on non-profits and state agencies.
This Seminar Series has concluded. Recordings of each seminar are available below, or on our YouTube Playlist for this Series.

Please enjoy these recordings, and learn more about the Landmark Environmental Policies that have shaped our environment and natural resources management as we know it today.
