The music performance major offers University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point students intensive training with a world-class faculty in state-of-the-art facilities. The program offers a solid core of music study including music theory/musicianship, music history and literature, applied performance study and large-ensemble participation.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students in the music majors benefit from performance of the classics. Recent performances include Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana,” Stravinsky’s “Rite of Spring,” Beethoven’s “9th Symphony” and “Brahms’ Requiem.” Performance majors also perform major solo repertoire on recitals in their junior and senior years. Students benefit directly by working with guest artists in master classes. With an emphasis on performance, music majors at UWSP can participate in:
