FitRec Offerings
Whether you’re looking to work out, try a new activity, or connect with others, FitRec has something for you. Located in the Student Health & Wellness Center, our programs include group fitness classes, intramurals, personal fitness opportunities, rock climbing, club sports, and more.

Open Climbing and Youth Programs
Located in the Skyward Fieldhouse of Marshfield Clinic Health System Champions Hall, the UWSP Climbing Wall features a 28-foot-tall climbing surface with 15 top-rope belay stations.
Students can participate in free climbing orientations and belay training classes. Harnesses and belay devices are also available at no cost.
The climbing wall offers:
- 7 hours of free open climbing each week for UWSP students
- 7 hours of member-exclusive climbing each week for students and community members
All climbing sessions are supervised by trained UWSP student staff and a full-time professional staff member.

UW-Stevens Point Kids Climbing Club
The UWSP Kids Climbing Club introduces children ages 5 to 13 to sport climbing through fun, beginner-friendly lessons that build confidence and climbing skills.
The program costs $50 per climber for a six-week session and is taught by trained UWSP Climbing Wall staff.

Compete, Connect, Belong
UW-Stevens Point Intramurals offers students a fun, safe, and competitive way to stay active, meet people, and build community.
Choose from a variety of sports, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, flag football, softball, golf, kickball, ultimate frisbee, badminton, bag toss, and more.


Intramural leagues are organized into five-week blocks, with two blocks offered each semester. You can create a team with friends or sign up as a free agent and be placed on a team. Registration is available through IMLeagues or the IMLeagues app.
Most equipment is provided, and leagues are available for different skill levels. Competitive (D1) and recreational (D2) options ensure everyone can participate and have fun.

Join the all new DAWG Fitness, a fitness facility offering a diverse mix of strength training and cardiovascular equipment. We proudly serve UWSP students, faculty, staff, retirees, alumni, community members and guests.
Membership includes unlimited access to our brand new facility, all equipment, equipment orientations, free locker rentals, showers and sweat towels!

Move together
GroupEx at UW-Stevens Point offers fun, FREE classes for students at all experience levels taught by trained UWSP students. Choose from a variety classes per week, including yoga, dance fusion, pilates, cycling, and many more. Just show up in your workout gear and bring your UWSP-issued ID. All equipment is provided.
No prior exercise knowledge or experience needed to attend and get a great workout in a social, fun and safe environment. Our classes run with a consistent schedule each semester.

Our UWSP Club Sports program encourages students of all skill levels and abilities to pursue membership in any of the recreational activity and sport clubs we offer here at UW-Stevens Point. We offer a variety of competitive and recreational opportunities. Many of our clubs compete at a national level—others are focused on pure fun! Regardless of what type of experience you’re after, you’ll find it here.

Jump Into Aquatics
UWSP students can enjoy free swim with a valid student ID and towel during the following times:
- Monday-Thursday: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Sunday-Thursday: 7-9:30 p.m.
Our aquatics facilities host a variety of activities, including water polo, log rolling, scuba, fly fishing, swim lessons, and water therapy. More than 8,000 guests use the facilities each year.


The pool features:
- An 8-lane lap swim area
- A 14.5-foot diving well
- 1-meter diving boards
- Water maintained at a comfortable 82 degrees
Whether you’re swimming laps, trying a new activity, or just looking to relax, there’s something for everyone in our aquatics facilities.

Student memberships are free to all UWSP students. Online sign up is required to fill out facility waiver. Indoor Courts and Track
The Skyward Fieldhouse is a 54,000 square foot facility featuring tennis and basketball courts, a 200-meter indoor track. Volleyball nets, tennis nets and soccer nets can be set up during any open rec times when equipment and space is available.
UWSP students, faculty and staff are eligible to use the Skyward Fieldhouse free of charge with their UWSP IDs.
