
UW-Stevens Point offers a globally recognized and forward-thinking Pilates Teacher Training program that delivers engaging, personalized learning experiences grounded in both the art and science of movement. The program highlights the foundational principles behind each exercise, fostering a strong understanding of Pilates and its benefits while equipping students with the skills needed to launch a successful career as Pilates professionals.
Pilates training connects the mind and body through full-body exercises that build core strength, enhance balance, boost coordination, and reduce stress. These exercises are suitable for individuals of all ages and fitness levels.
What to expect
During the UWSP Pilates Teacher Training program, students have the opportunity to gain practical teaching experience through campus and community partnerships. These teaching experiences are recorded as Practical Teaching Hours and count toward completion of the Pilates Teacher Training Program. Our Program supports the dynamic process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a more positive, balanced and healthy lifestyle. UWSP’s Teacher Training Program is designed to create thoughtful, creative and successful Pilates teachers.
Meet the Trainers

Amy Beversdorf
Amy Beversdorf is an Associate Lecturer, co-directs UWSP’s Balanced Body Pilates Authorized Training Center and has taught Pilates since 2000. She founded Studio B Pilates in Stevens Point and trains new teachers across the U.S. in Mat, Reformer, Apparatus, and Anatomy. Amy studied under renowned educators and joined Balanced Body’s education team in 2010. Before moving to Wisconsin, she danced professionally in New York and taught Pilates at Movements Afoot Studio. She holds a BFA in Dance (UWSP), an MFA (UW-Milwaukee), and a CMA from Columbia College Chicago. Amy also co-founded The Artist In Residence (AIR) Project, a local performing arts nonprofit.

Pamela Luedtke
Pamela Luedtke, Associate Lecturer at UW-Stevens Point, teaches Ballet, Modern, and co-instructs the Pilates Mat Certification Program. A former soloist with the Mary Anthony Dance Company, she worked in NYC with renowned choreographers and taught at several prominent studios. Her choreography has been performed nationwide. Certified through Studio B Pilates/Balanced Body and a National Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT), Pamela works with diverse clients and has promoted the arts in Central Wisconsin for over 20 years. She founded Point Dance Ensemble, co-founded The Artist In Residence Project, and has been a Certified Brain Gym© instructor since 2005, consulting schools on integrating movement into education.
