The Dreyfus University Center offers multiple options to fit every wedding need. From large, elegant banquet halls to intimate and unique smaller venues, find your wedding venue at UWSP.
When you choose UW-Stevens Point as your wedding location, you will work with one of our professional Event Coordinators, who will help guide you through the planning process to be sure that your event is everything you wish for.
Melvin R. Laird Room
The Dreyfus University Center’s Melvin R. Laird Room is the perfect space for a large and elegant wedding. This space can function as a ceremony space and a reception space, for weddings with up to 350 guests.
This space includes both single and dual projection capabilities, along with space for a large stage, and dance floor, while keeping space for dining. This is a flexible and customizable space for any wedding need.
Alumni Room
The DUC Alumni Room offers a wonderful and intimate space for a small and cozy wedding. The Alumni room has large windows, perfect for natural light and, in the winter months, a snowy backdrop. This space is perfect for a minimal and elegant wedding venue.
Encore Room
The DUC Encore room offers a energetic and eccentric space for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Equipped with a stage, a mezzanine, and a drink stand, the Encore will guarantee that your wedding is an all night party; fun for all who attend.
Outdoor and Additional Wedding Venues
Do you and your partner enjoy the outdoors? Ask our event team about outdoor options such as the Iris Fountain located behind the DUC, the Front Lawn of Old Main, the small outdoor classroom by the Chemistry Biology Building, and the Sundial.

At the DUC
Prices listed below are reception only, however ceremonies can be added for an additional $500. Ceremonies on their own can also be held for $750. Stand alone ceremony costs include the use of house sound and a corded microphone.

Alumni Room
Price: $1,750
Includes:
- Up to 175 guests
- House sound and a corded microphone
- Use of the dressing rooms
Encore Room
Price: $1,500
Includes:
- Up to 100 guests
- House sound and a corded microphone
- Use of the dressing rooms

Say your “I do’s” at UWSP with a WIDE variety of ceremony spaces across all ends of campus.
$500 when added on to a reception package.
$750 for a ceremony with a reception off site.

Event Technical Services
Event Technical Services specializes in live event production and technology support. We provide the latest technology in lighting, live sound reinforcement, and projection systems. Event Technical Services offers many additions to your event, including: up lighting, DJ lights and sound, a disco ball, and projection screens. Along with a variety of additional lighting options. Stevens Point Wedding Expo
UW-Stevens Point also hosts a Wedding Expo annually where you can find all your wedding vendor needs. This event is fun and energetic, connecting future brides and grooms with the people who will make their day magical and unforgettable. Throughout the day classes and workshops are held by industry professionals for future brides and grooms, including wedding planning, bar service, budgeting, and designs with a florist.
