ASI Shinichi Suzuki Teacher Training Scholarships
Created in the name of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, the purpose of this scholarship program is to honor the memory of the founder of the Suzuki Method of instruction and to continue his commitment to teacher education. This summer, the American Suzuki Foundation will be offering seven $1,000 scholarships to participate in a core course at ASI. The scholarship recipients will be selected based on the strength of the application and the qualifications listed below. If applications are equally strong, preference will be given to an in-person attendee.
The American Suzuki Foundation funds scholarships for teachers in the amount of $1,000 each. These scholarships are available for teachers who take one or more core courses at the Institute. Links to teacher scholarship forms are listed below. All scholarship applications are due May 15, 2026.
Please note that the teacher scholarships require several elements:
- Online application form
- Documentation and video (to be attached in ONE email and sent to suzuki@uwsp.edu)
- Recommendation forms from two mentors or colleagues of the applicant’s choice
Scholarship availability depends on the generosity of those who are able to contribute. Tax-deductible donations to the ASI Scholarship Fund can be indicated on your ASI registration form or by visiting the American Suzuki Foundation website.
