The School of Education offers a program for physical education teachers who wish to complete the Wisconsin 860 Add-On Certification in Adapted Physical Education. The program consists of a total of 13 credit hours* including coursework and practicum.
The Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) is a joint program with the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Program participants acquire abilities to teach content both in English and another language (either Spanish or Hmong). You will only be awarded the certificate if you successfully complete the English as a Second Language Minor with K-12 Teacher Certification. The Bilingual-Bicultural Education Certificate is only a few additional credits to acquire. It is administered by the Department of World Languages and Literatures.

The Cross Categorical Special Education (SPEC ED) Add-on Teacher Licensure/Certification provides opportunities for licensed teachers to gain valuable knowledge and experience working with special needs children from 5K through 12th grade.

Our program, which is approved by the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) and provides coursework that meets the standards required for graduates to obtain the Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) designation, offers two options: Child Life and Family Studies; Teacher Education.

The Master of Science (M.S.) education program in speech-language pathology at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
