​Scholarships

Gain recognition for all your hard work and cut the cost of your college education. Apply for a scholarship! Scholarship award decisions are based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and other considerations. Some scholarships require verification of financial need, therefore, all scholarship applicants are strongly encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

New Professional Associate Degree and Bachelor's Degree Scholarships

Because we value our students, we invest heavily in their success. For fall 2019, scholarships totaling $100,000 are available for first-time students pursuing new professional associate degrees on our branch campuses. Scholarships are automatic (no separate application is required) on a first-come basis for those who qualify. Scholarships are one-time awards. Recipients must be U.S. citizens attending UW-Stevens Point at least half time (6+ credits per semester). Based on available funding.

New MBA Degree Scholarships 

Scholarships are also available for those pursuing an MBA who select UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield or Wausau as their home campus. For eligibility and more information see the MBA scholarship website.


UW Wausau Campus Foundation Scholarships

By submitting the UWSP at Wausau scholarship application (available to students in November), you are considered for over $160,000 in scholarships given each year by the UW Wausau Campus Foundation.

Who should apply for UWSP at Wausau scholarships?

All current and prospective degree-seeking students (including current high school seniors) are strongly encouraged to apply.

2. Complete and submit the online Scholarship Application . The priority deadline for guaranteed consideration for all available scholarships is January 13.

Music Scholarship Auditions

All incoming students interested in pursuing a degree in music are encouraged to audition for a UW-Stevens Point at Wausau Music Scholarship.  Non-music majors who intend to play or sing in campus ensembles are also encouraged to audition for a scholarship.  More details here: Music Auditions

Newberry Creativity Award

The John S. Newberry, Jr. Award for Creativity recognizes the creative contributions of students in the fields of film, computer programming, games, musical compositions, songs, poems, creative essays, fiction, dance, printmaking, painting, sculpture, design, dramatic recitation, ceramics, performance, independent experimental research projects and other areas.  Apply here: Newberry Award
