Master of Science in Athletic Training
The undergraduate athletic training program at UW-Stevens Point is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). The program is currently applying to the CAATE for a change in level of degree.
UW-Stevens Point is no longer accepting students into the undergraduate athletic training program. The last undergraduate cohort is expected to graduate in May 2019. Students who are interested in becoming athletic trainers will be advised to a enroll in the
health science-pre-athletic training major
or another major at UW-Stevens Point to help you attain the admission requirements for the Master of Science in Athletic Training.

Gain Experience Outside the Classroom
Clinical experiences start as soon as you are accepted into the athletic training program so you can begin to practice your skills as you learn them. Our teaching facility offers state-of-the art treatment and rehabilitation equipment, a cadaver laboratory and a classroom dedicated to athletic training. Your clinical experiences include rotation with area physicians as well as surgical observations to enhance your knowledge of illness and injury affecting the active population. You will also interact weekly with team physicians during on-site clinics at the UW-Stevens Point
