Transfer/Non-traditional STAR 

Welcome to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point!

Information for admitted transfer and non-traditional students: 

  • ALL new transfer and non-traditional students are required to attend an online STAR session.
  • Online STAR includes a remote advising session, instructions on how and when you will register for or adjust your classes, an opportunity to submit your PointCard photo, and learn about student services.

Transfer and Non-Traditional STAR is open to the following students:

  • Students who have completed college credit post-high school graduation
  • Students over the age of 21

STAR Registration:

  • Activate your UWSP Account (if you haven't done so already).
    • Use your student ID number found on your acceptance letter.

  • Register for STAR - complete both steps below:

    STEP 1: Register  
    • Log in to accesSPoint - Select the STAR/Orientation tile
    • Select STAR Orientation Signup and click "Add Registration"
    • Complete the information request and select Online STAR (Self Paced). Make sure to click "Save" on the top right hand corner.
    • Continue to monitor your UWSP email regarding next steps and advising notifications
    STEP 2: Complete Online STAR (Self Paced)
    • 24 hours AFTER you sign up for STAR log in to accesSPoint
    • Select the STAR/Orientation tile
    • Select STAR Orientation on the left-hand side and read the prompted instructions on the right-hand side  
    • Complete the Online Transfer STAR (Self Paced) course (This should take about 45 minutes)
      • We encourage you to complete your Online STAR Orientation at your earliest convenience to ensure prompt academic advising and course registration.
    • Once completed, students will receive an email to their UW-Stevens Point email account, from the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, with instructions and next steps for academic advising and course registration.
