UW-Stevens Point graduate Brayden Banks knew his purpose was to help others. Thanks to his advisers and the experiential learning opportunities, he was able to tailor his education and extracurriculars to learn about policy backed by conservation experience.

Graduate Lyric LaRock turned her passion for sports and storytelling into hands-on experience through internships, photography and media opportunities. Through classroom learning, campus involvement and professional experiences, she has worked hard to build the skills needed for a future career in sports media.
Innovations in Sustainability
A new, state-of-the-art Compostability Testing Laboratory has opened at UWSP through the Wisconsin Institute for Sustainable Technology, with support from Gov. Tony Evers. One of only two academic labs in the United States to be approved by the Biodegradable Products Institute for testing, the lab is one of seven in the country established to research ways to create more sustainable products and packaging.
A Decade of Pointers Giving Back
UW-Stevens Point’s 10th annual Days of Giving brought the Pointer community together in a big way, unlocking the largest challenge gift in its history and celebrating record-breaking support from alumni, friends and local businesses. The milestone campaign continues to fuel scholarships and programs that help students thrive and remove barriers to success.
Dedication ceremony honors local couple
Watch as the newest building on the UWSP campus is dedicated as the Gale and Paul Kirby Library and Student Resource Center, honoring the Plover couple’s unrestricted gift to the university, the largest alumni contribution in UWSP’s history.
