Prior to the master's program, undergraduate students at UW-Stevens Point can major in health science: pre-athletic training
The UW-Stevens Point master's in athletic training program provides students with opportunities that utilize classroom and real-life experiences so students become valued athletic training professionals. Students are evaluated on skills and knowledge throughout each experience and receive feedback to encourage growth and improvement. To achieve certification in athletic training, students must graduate from a CAATE-accredited athletic training program and pass a national Board of Certification (BOC) examination.
Explore Career Opportunities in Athletic Training
Upon graduation, students commonly attain jobs at clinics and high schools, many in Wisconsin and some in states as far as New York or Arizona. Some students choose to further their education at an advanced level in athletic training or a related field. During your education, the athletic training faculty and staff will work with you to determine your career goals and help you attain them.
We pride ourselves on preparing students to successfully pass the national
Board of Certification
(BOC) examination and enter the workforce. Our pass rate has been 100% on the first attempt every year since 2009. We also have an extensive
across the nation to assist in clinical education and graduate placement.
