Sonia Grimsled

SoniaGrimsledhas performed in a variety of classical and contemporary music styles with organizations across the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest. Favorite roles include Miss Hannigan in Charles Strouse’s Annie, Franca Naccarelli in Adam Guettel’s The Light in the Piazza, Michaela in the Brooks-Bizet The Tragedy of Carmen, Antonia in Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffman, and Countess Almaviva in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro.Sonia regularly performs with the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra as a soloist and as a co-host of the annual Dorothy Vetter Educational Concerts.  She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and received the Mary Wolfman award as a semifinalist in the 2024 NATS Artist Awards in New York.Soniaholds a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from UW-Stevens Point.
