Cale Hoppe

BIO

Cale Hoppe joined the UW-Stevens Point Department of Mathematical Sciences in 2024. He is a proud 2002 UWSP alum. Previously, Hoppe taught high school mathematics for 22 years. At UWSP, he teaches Math 90, 95, 107, math education courses, and supervises secondary math education student teachers.

In addition to teaching, he is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Career and Technical Education at UW–Stout, with an expected completion in May 2027. His doctoral research focuses on student perceptions of required mathematics courses and the impact these courses have on student outcomes.
