Bio

Abby Johnson is a Data Science, Data Management, and GIS Specialist with the Center for Watershed Science and Education at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. She received a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography from Humboldt State University and a Master of Science in Physical Oceanography from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Her work focuses on transforming groundwater quality datasets into accessible information tools that support Wisconsin communities, natural resource managers, and educators. Her data stewardship and GIS expertise were part of the 2025 redevelopment of the Wisconsin Well Water Viewer, a statewide mapping platform that visualizes groundwater quality trends using more than 150,000 private well water samples.
