STEAM Point Day is a one-day conference focusing on topics and careers in Science, Technology, STEAM Point Days is a one-day conference focusing on topics and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. All students are welcome to attend any dates.

  • Attend multiple workshops of your choice
  • Explore UW-Stevens Point campus and see/hear what it’s like to be a UWSP College Student
  • Receive a T-shirt, workshop supplies and lunch​
Registration

Registration Fee: Includes keynote presentation, three workshops, event materials, t-shirt and lunch. 

Field Trip Agreement Form

Chaperone Registration – $25 (minimum of 2 chaperones are required as per field trip agreement)

All youth are required to be accompanied by an adult chaperone who will retain custodial care of the minor during the event. All attendees need a minimum of 2 attendees!   

​Teaching aides: Some children require a teaching aide in order to attend the event, please contact us if an aide is required.

Scholarships

Scholarships are limited and available only to students upon written recommendation by a teacher, parent, or school administrator. Scholarship requests must include the name of the student in need of scholarship, a reason for the request, and the school’s name. 

Scholarship Deadline: January 4, 202​7 

Chaperone Check List

​​Have a school official and the trip leader sign the field trip agreement form. Email form by January 29, 2027

Be sure to prepare to follow all of the expectations in the Field Trip Agreement for chaperoning your students on campus.

In your group registration:

  • List your school or homeschool
  • Rank your group preferences for workshop sessions​. 
  • Notify us of any food restrictions for your group.
  • Notify us of any photo/video restrictions for your group.
  • Register your total number of students.
  • Register your total number of chaperones.
  • Provide contact information for all chaperones.
  • Order parking passes of needed.
  • Be sure your payment is recieved by January 22, 2027

Registration will take place outside the Laird Room in the DUC. Be sure we have the phone numbers of all your chaperones.

Please reach out at least 3 weeks prior to the event so that you can complete all volunteer checks and trainings.

Youth Camp Information

Cancellation Policy / Accommodations Statement

Youth Camps/Clinics (excluding Suzuki and Athletics):  

If cancellation occurs 42 days or more before the camp start date, registration costs (minus credit card fees) will be refunded.​

​If cancellation occurs 14–41 days before the camp start date, 50% of registration costs (minus credit card fees) will be refunded.

If cancellation occurs less than 14 days before the camp start date, registration costs are non-refundable.​

​Astronomy Camp reserves the right to send home, without refund, any camper who fails to behave in an appropriate manner or breaks any local/state/federal laws or camp regulations. ​​
