As an accounting student at UW-Stevens Point, you will learn the skills necessary to be professionally licensed as a certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA), or certified internal auditor (CIA). In addition, you will develop a mix of analytical and decision-making skills to illustrate an organization’s financial status and inform business strategies.

The MBA program at UW-Stevens Point now offers an applied management certificate where you will learn to apply the tools of lean and Six Sigma, methods of large-scale project management, and techniques for operating and controlling organizational budget.

As a business administration student, you will learn how to make decisions, lead projects, allocate scarce resources, plan production and energize teams. You will gain the knowledge to drive enterprise goals so you are ready to advance in private, public and non-profit organizations. 

As a business economics student, you will learn to model the behavior of individuals, businesses, and governments to analyze resource allocation, firm performance, and public policies. You will also develop analytical-thinking skills that can be successfully applied in business, law, public administration, and other fields.

The MBA program at UW-Stevens Point now offers a community and economic impact certificate where you will learn to become a power change-agent in your region in this engaging series focus on economic and community impact.

The credit analysis certificate will engage students in a multidisciplinary approach to understanding the processes involved in analyzing corporate credit risk. The courses offered in this certificate prepare students to evaluate credit risk through a variety of lenses, namely those of financial accounting, business law and ethics, sales management, and corporate finance.

The data analytics program integrates big data, machine learning, predictive modeling, and programming techniques, combined with the business skills needed to influence decision-making. 

As a finance student, you will learn to apply strategic corporate financial management concepts, develop personal financial planning and investment strategies, and understand financial markets. You also have the opportunity to take insurance and real estate  courses.

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point MBA program was formed with students in mind. Classes are held locally, in the evening, through our in-person and online hybrid format. No other existing AACSB-accredited program serves Central and Northern Wisconsin like ours does.

The professional selling certificate is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of professional selling. The certificate program covers a range of topics, including sales strategies, sales management, communication skills and negotiation techniques.
