In the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate program through the MBA program at UW-Stevens Point, you will learn from professionals with real-world success and use Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to complete a business challenge project. Upon completion of this program, you will take the Certified Six Sigma Green Belt exam. This certificate is available for graduate credit towards your Master of Business Administration (MBA) as well as a specialized concentration to lead into the MBA program.
Take a deep dive into the principles and applications of lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Through this online 9 credit series, you will receive personalized coaching as you complete a chosen business challenge project.

Course Schedule
We’ve designed this online course for busy professionals and students. A collection of tools, templates, and downloadable material available during and after the class. All synchronous sessions will be hosted Mondays from 4-8 p.m. This 9-credit course sequence needs to be completed in whole.
Course Materials
Each student will be provided with an ebook that parallels the American Society for Quality Six Sigma Green Belt Body of knowledge and contains all the topics discussed in the course. Electronic downloadable templates used or referenced during the class are included. Students will need a laptop computer or other mobile device with Microsoft Word and Excel. The individual cost for course materials is $258 and is not part of the total program cost.

To apply to this program, please follow the steps below.
- If you intend to pursue a master’s degree after completing the graduate certificate, it is in your best interest to complete all application steps for the MBA or other graduate program right away.
- Alternatively, if you simply want the graduate certificate, you can apply as a graduate special student by selecting non-degree seeking student on the UW System application. This will allow you to register for the appropriate courses without paying the application fee. You must possess a bachelor’s degree to do so.
