September 21, 2021 - SURVEY - Make the Halls More Inclusive!

UWSP Residential Living is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that provides a safe, accessible, and respectful community for all. With inclusivity at the forefront of what we do, we are working on a plan to expand our Gender Inclusive Restrooms in the Residence Halls.

Currently, traditional halls have two restroom facilities on each floor, one designated as male and the other as a female. Hyer Hall restroom facilities are designated as male on the first and fourth floors, and female on the second and third floors. The Suites@201 features a three-part restroom with a toilet, shower, and vanity in each suite.

Gender Inclusive restrooms are renovated to provide private shower stalls that have locks on them.

Traditional Halls: On the second floor of Hansen, Knutzen, May Roach, Smith, Steiner, and Watson, one of the two bathrooms is designated as all gender, meaning that any identifying gender can use this restroom.

Please take a few minutes to provide some feedback and fill out our survey:

 September 16, 2021 - Room Change Selection

This is your first notice of the Room Change Request process opening this upcoming Monday, September 20 at 8 a.m.

This process is available to you via your UWSP Housing Portal (under the Menu) until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 7.

Traditional Hall Residents: This is a request-based process and will be made based on availability within the halls. The more flexible you are with your request, especially the buildings or quads you may be open to, the more likely it is that we’ll be able to accommodate.

Suites@201 Residents: You may complete this room change process, but will only be allowed to change rooms WITHIN the Suites@201 since your housing contract is a binding contract for the Suites@201 only.

It takes time for us to review all requests and your patience is appreciated. We work to reply with an update or room change offer to your UWSP email within 5-10 business days after a request has been submitted.

Traditional Hall Residents: Single Room Buy-Out has limited availabilityIf you do not currently have a roommate or your roommate moves out during this process, you must only occupy only one side of the room. Be sure to have the vacant side ready for any possible new roommate assignments.

Please log into the Room Change Request process and request the option to buy out your current room as a single.

It is unknown if there will be a room change process available again this semester. Use this process now if you're considering a room change.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the main office open weekdays, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
