College of Letters and Science Child Advocacy Studies Certificate

Undergraduate Certificate

The Child Advocacy Studies Certificate is a three-course program that aims to teach foundational and advanced skills and knowledge to prevent child maltreatment and to identify, assess, intervene, and evaluate children and families involved in child welfare systems as well as survivors of child maltreatment. A multidisciplinary approach is used to recognize, respond, and advocate for children, families, and survivors.

The certificate is administered by the Department of Sociology and Social Work.
