WJFW: UWSP opens forestry center in Tomahawk

Wisconsin Forestry Center Director Steve Hubbard commended UWSP for positioning itself as one of the premiere schools for undergraduate forestry studies.

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point held a ceremonial branch-cutting this afternoon to celebrate the opening of their new Forestry Advancement Center in Tomahawk. Two key figures headed up this project to learn more about how UW-Stevens Point continues to lead in forestry.

“They’re going to get opportunity,” said Brian Sloss, UWSP’s Dean of the College of Natural Resources. “They’re going to get a future. And they’re going to get challenged every single day.”
