With the pandemic, burnout has become a reality for some healthcare professionals, but UW-Stevens Point is trying to address that potential problem before students graduate.
Rebecca Sommer, Assistant Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Wellness at UWSP, said that there is a high need for health and wellness professionals within the region.
She said that to become a nurse or physician, you go through so much to get to that point.
Sommer added that UWSP wants to help people do what they love to do and continue to do that, adding it has been a hard time for many people, particularly for healthcare providers.
