Introduce your child to playing an instrument during a free event at Riverfront Rendezvous through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s Aber Suzuki Center.

Held from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, July 2, at Pfiffner Pioneer Park in Stevens Point, the “Instrument Petting Zoo” offers the opportunity to try violin, viola, cello, piano, guitar or voice with the help of a Suzuki faculty member. Those who try them all get a prize.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for children who want to explore playing an instrument,” said Ann Marie Novak, director of Suzuki Programs.

Suzuki students will also offer short concerts at the beginning of each hour.

The Suzuki Method encourages music study in a nurturing environment, with parents working closely with their children. For more information about music lessons through the center, go to or call 715-346-3033.
