Stephanie Stella

 BIO

Stephanie Stella earned her B.S. in Health Sciences from UW-Milwaukee and Ph.D. in English from Marquette University. She also conducted post-graduate studies in comparative literature at the University of Texas at Austin. She has been teaching literature and composition for over 20 years at secondary schools and universities in the United States, St. Lucia, Guatemala, and Italy. She also served as the Coordinator of the General Education Program at The American University of Rome. Her research interests include 20th-century American literature, Italian literature, trauma studies, and place studies.

When not teaching, Stephanie assists her partner with running his family’s ballet studio in Wausau and enjoys traveling, adventuring, and creating with their young son. As a dual U.S.-Italian citizen, she spends as much time as possible in the bel paese.
