Robert Bell

BIO

Robert Bell is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biology. He began his teaching career at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1993 as an assistant professor. Bell received seven Excellence in Faculty Service Awards from the department as well as the University Excellence in Teaching Award. Professor Bell serves as a recruiting liaison.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Algal and plant physiological and community ecology. Phylogeny and evolutionary history of the algae, especially cyanophytes (blue-green algae) and chlorophytes (green algae). Field experience in aquatic and terrestrial systems.​
