Kate Kipp BIO Kate Kipp is an associate professor with the Department of Sociology and Social Work. Kipp has an advanced practice certification as a social worker and is trained in substance use disorders. She spent nearly 20 years as a juvenile justice social worker for Marathon County Social Services before beginning her teaching career at UW-Stevens Point in 2015. Kipp serves on the Social Work Program Committee and is the chair of the Department Committee Public Relations Committee on campus. She is the Campus Service recruitment liaison for the Department of Sociology and Social Work. Kipp serves on the Differing Abilities Council. She is involved on the board of Marathon County Head Start and volunteers for the Girl Scouts of the Northwest Lakes.
