Jeff Verona

BIO

Jeff Verona joined the UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield in 2009. He is a senior lecturer of English. During his career in higher education, he has focused on serving academically underprepared students and students whose first language is not English. Verona’s most satisfactory experiences come from working with returning adults, high schoolers taking college courses, and other “nontraditional” students.  View CV.

Since 2013, he has been Lead Senator for the Academic Staff Council of the University of Wisconsin Colleges, overseeing and advocating for instructional and non-instructional academic staff at our 13 campuses. He served on a Repositioning Task Force which developed procedures that led to an extensive restructuring of the UW-Colleges. Verona is comfortable with all forms of instructional delivery: face to face, live video, pure online, and blended f2f/online. When he is not teaching, Verona is engaged in volunteer service at the Marshfield Medical Center.
