Jared Neibauer

Jared has received his Bachelor’s in Biology with minor in Geographic Information Systems at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. His past experience includes aquatic invasive species monitoring and is looking to advance his education by gaining real life application of aquaculture at the facility.

Since his hire in 2015, Jared has worked with various cool and cold-water species in various production systems including recirculating aquaculture systems and technology, ponds, raceways, and larval systems including bell jar and heath tray incubation systems. Specific species he has gained experience with include Arctic char, Atlantic salmon, lake trout, rainbow trout, yellow perch, walleye, saugeye, sauger and lake sturgeon. As Advanced Aquaculture Technician, Jared’s duties also include alarm and emergency response, training new staff, and project development/research assistance.
