Cole Verbeten

I grew up on a small farm 20 minutes south of Green Bay, WI, where I showed beef cattle. I originally went to a different college to study Animal Science to become a large animal Veterinarian, and later transferred to UW-Stevens Point. After transferring schools and changing majors about 7 times, I graduated in December 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Professional Communication from UWSP. Throughout my time at UWSP, I worked various jobs on campus that led me to realize I love working with college students and helping them throughout their college journey. When I’m not working with students, I love reading, being active, traveling, biking the Green Circle Trail, and having fun with my family and friends! 

Piece of advice: Make time to do things that you enjoy doing. 
What he wanted to be growing up: A multitude of things that changed every week ranging from a Veterinarian to a Teacher! 
What he enjoys about UWSP: I love that everyone at UWSP is passionate about seeing you succeed and is willing to help you do that in any way
Favorite place on campus and why: If I had to pick just one, I would choose Schmeeckle Reserve. I love that it provides students and the community to escape from city life and get into nature.
